Guided Trail Rides
Hibernia County Park
We offer guided trail rides through Hibernia County Park. Riders will get to enjoy the beautiful Chester County countryside as well as enjoy what HCP has to offer. HCP boasts Chambers Lake which if it is warm enough we can take the horses in it to splash, as well as different ruins of old homesteads and the beautiful, expansive Hibernia Mansion.
All riders are required to sign a waiver and wear helmets.
Guided trail rides are $35/ person per hour for group rides and $40/ person per hour for private rides. We ask for a $20 non-refundable deposit per person upon booking. The remainder of the balance is due at the time of your scheduled ride.
What time should we arrive?
Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your ride time to allow us to assign you to a horse and fit you with a helmet.
Can we do more than walk on the trail ride?
No. Walking is strictly enforced regardless of riding ability. Please do not ask us if we can "run" the horses.
How many people can you accommodate?
We can accommodate 2-3 riders; private rides are also offered.
Is there an age restriction?
Yes, guests must be ages 10 and up to ride. We will offer pony rides to those under the age of 10.
Is there a weight restriction?
Yes, we do ask your approximate weight to match you with an appropriately sized horse. Limit 250 lbs max.
What should I wear?
Long pants or jeans and hard soled shoes with a heel; helmets will be provided. No leggings or pants made of slippery material. No "high" heels, sneakers or open toed shoes.
What happens in the case of inclement weather?
We will notify you that day if we aren't going to be able to have the trail ride. We will do our best to reschedule you for another date and time.
